EXHIBIT A CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS WATER RATE -- SCHEDULE UW-l (Urban Customers) Applicable: To any customer served through a single meter for water usage within the corporate limits of the City. Service will be furnished under this rate schedule subject to the established rules and regulations of the City covering this type of service. Rate: $4.00 for the first 2,000 gallons or less. $0.59 per thousand gallons for all additional gallons. Minimum Bill: $4.00 per month. Multiple Dwelling Units & Trailer Parks: For multiple dwelling units served under one water meter, the monthly bill shall be computed on the basis of the average water usage per dwelling. The average water usage per dwelling per month shall be determined by dividing the total water usage measured by the City's meter by the total number of dwellings in service. The total number of dwelling units in service shall be the maximum number of units connected to the City's system multiplied by 0.90. The average water usage per dwelling shall be used to calculate the individual rate charged per unit by applying the urban water rate. Delayed Payment: All bills for water service shall be paid on or before the tenth (lOth) day of the month in which the bill is rendered. A delinquent service charge equal to 10% of the bill amount shall be added upon failure or refusal of the customer to pay any bill on or before the tenth (10th) day of the month in which the bill is rendered. Reconnection Policy: The failure to pay all bills for water service furnished to any consumer within the time stipulated for such payment shall be deemed notice for the discontinuance of water service, and water shall be cut off and shall not be cut on again until all bills, including delinquent service charges, are paid in full, together with a reconnection fee of $10.00 per meter for regular hours (8 a.m. - 5 p.m.) reconnection, or $15.00 per meter for after-hours (5 p.m. - 8 a.m.) reconnection, plus any applicable deposit fee. The water service shall be discontinued as to all uses thereof for those consumers who fail to pay for the same as herein provided within thirty (30) days after the date of billing. No service shall be discontinued prior to notice to said consumer stating the consumer's right to dispute any portion of the bill. Single Point Delivery: The above rates are based upon the supply of water to the entire premises through a single delivery and metering point. A separate supply of water for the same consumer at other points of consumption shall be separately metered and billed.
