<br />CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS <br />WATER RATE -- SCHEDULE RW-l <br />(Rural Customers) <br /> <br />Applicable: <br /> <br />To any customer served through a single meter for water usage outside <br />the corporate limits of the City. Service will be furnished under <br />this rate schedule subject to the established rules and regulations <br />of the City covering this type of service. <br /> <br />Rate: <br /> <br />$8.00 for the first 2,000 gallons or less. <br /> <br />$1.18 per thousand gallons for all additional gallons. <br /> <br />Minimum Bill: <br /> <br />$8.00 per month. <br /> <br />Multiple Dwelling Units & Trailer Parks: <br /> <br />For multiple dwelling units served under one water meter, the monthly <br />bill shall be computed on the basis of the average water usage per <br />dwelling. The average water usage per dwelling per month shall be <br />determined by dividing the total water usage measured by the City's <br />meter by the total number of dwellings in service. The total number <br />of dwelling units in service shall be the maximum number of units <br />connected to the City's system multiplied by 0.90. <br /> <br />The average water usage per dwelling shall be used to calculate the <br />individual rate charged per unit by applying the rural water rate. <br /> <br />Delayed Payment: <br /> <br />All bills for water service shall be paid on or before the tenth <br />(10th) day of the month in which the bill is rendered. A delinquent <br />service charge equal to 10% of the bill amount shall be added upon <br />failure or refusal of the customer to pay any bill on or before the <br />tenth (lOth) day of the month in which the bill is rendered. <br /> <br />Reconnection Policy: <br /> <br />The failure to pay all bills for water service furnished to any <br />consumer within the time stipulated for such payment shall be <br />deemed notice for the discontinuance of water service, and water <br />shall be cut off and shall not be cut on again until all bills, <br />including delinquent service charges, are paid in full, together <br />with a reconnection fee of $10.00 per meter for regular hours (8 a.m. - <br />5 p.m.) reconnection or $15.00 per meter for after-hours (5 p.m. - 8 a.m.) <br />reconnection, plus any applicable deposit fee. The water service shall be <br />disconnected as to all uses thereof for those consumers who fail to pay <br />for the same as herein provided within thirty (30) days after the date of <br />billing. No service shall be discontinued prior to notice to said <br />consumer stating the consumer's right to dispute any portion of the <br />bill. <br /> <br />Single Point Delivery: <br /> <br />The above rate are based upon the supply of water to the entire <br />premises through a single delivery and metering point. A separate <br />supply of water for the same consumer at other points of consumption <br />shall be separately metered and billed. <br />
