Tie Cable: The proponent is responsible for completing any required tie I <br />cabling. All installation and material costs will be included on Proposal <br />Response Form (Attachment "An). <br /> <br />b. Equipment: The proponent is responsible for installing and maintaining all <br />miscellaneous equipment needed for local services. The proponent will <br />provide the City with installation requirements; including power, space, etc. for <br />all equipment. All equipment will remain the property of the proponent and <br />must be maintained for the duration of the contract. All installation costs for <br />equipment will be included 0 Proposal Response Form (Attachment "An). <br /> <br />c. Lightning Protection: The proponent is responsible for all lightning protection <br />required by the services provided within this RFP. All equipment will remain <br />the property of the proponent and must be maintained for the duration of this <br />contract. All installation and material costs will be included on Proposal <br />Response Form (Attachment "An). <br /> <br />3. Customer Service Requirements: Provide your customer service number for local <br />services and the location of your customer service operation. State your hours and <br />days of operation, by a "liven person. Describe what happens to callers when the <br />customer service number is not "manned"? <br /> <br />B. LONG DISTANCE SERVICES: The proponent is responsible for installing long <br />distance services for both dedicated and switched access. The City desires to retain their <br />current 800 Numbers. The City does not require authorization codes for outgoing long <br />distance. (Authorization code tracking is a function of the PBX Call Accounting Software). <br /> <br />1 <br /> <br />1. Circuit Requirements: Long distance services can be utilized by a dedicated T1 <br />span, if local and long distance proponents are not the same provider. If proponent <br />is the same provider of both local and long distance services, the City desires to <br />utilize the two existing T1 PRI spans for long distance. The long distance services <br />are located at the Municipal Building, 630 E. Hopkins Street, terminating in the <br />Nortel Option 61 C PBX. All incoming 800 numbers will be routed to this site. <br />Current toll free numbers are as follows: <br /> <br />800-324-4098 rings to station 512-393-8040 <br />888-286-4486 rings to station 512-393-8043 <br /> <br />Any overflow of long distance will be alternately switched to the Local Services, <br />listed in Section 4.A. above. <br /> <br />2. Installation Requirements: Long Distance services are to be installed, or enhanced, <br />on a mutually agreed upon evening (after business hours) during the lowest traffic <br />period for all sites. All services terminating at the City's property will be clearly 1 <br />labeled at the D-MARC. <br /> <br />- 12 - <br />
