97. <br /> <br />THE STATE OF TEXAS JOINT ELECTION AGREEMENT <br /> <br />THE COUNTY OF HAYS <br /> KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS: <br /> <br /> That the San Marcos Consolidated Independent School District, a quasinmnicipal corporation, <br />hereinafter referred to as the "Scl~ool", acting by and through its President of the Board of Trustees and the <br />City of San Marcos, a municipal corporation, hereinafter referred to as the "City", acting by and through its <br />City Manager, enter into this Joint Election Agreement pursuant to the terms and provisions herein stated <br />and pursuant to the terms of the Texas Election Code: to-wit: <br /> <br /> SECTION 1. School, and City hereby agree jointly to hold General and Special Election by <br /> <br />the City, and the San Marcos Consolidated Independent School District. Said joint election will be held at <br />the various polling places and election precincts within the corporate limits of the City, and within the <br />boundaries of the School District, as hereinafter designated, on the 3~d day of May, 2003, fi'om the hours of <br />7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., at ;vhich joint election there shall be elected by the qualified voters of the City a <br />City Council Member for Place Five and a City Council Member for Place Six, for terms of three years <br />each, and by the qualified voters of the School Dista'ict two At Large School District Board of Trustee <br />Members, for terms of three years each. <br /> <br /> SECTION 2. That the election precincts for the City election shall be substantially the same <br /> <br />precincts as those Hays County Election Precincts which are within the corporate limits of the City of San <br />Marcos, and for the School District election, all those Hays, Caldwell, and Guadalupe County Election <br />Precincts which are within the boundaries of the School District. <br /> <br /> SECTION 3. That the polling places for each School District Single Member Dista'ict, <br /> <br />precinct, and entity for this election shall be as follows: <br /> <br />SCHOOL DISTRICT SINGLE MEMBER DISTRICT 1: <br /> <br />Precinct # Entity <br />110 (Portion) School <br /> <br />112 (Portion) City/School <br />113 (Portion) City/School <br />116 (Portion) City/School <br /> <br />Polling Place <br /> <br />Hays County Election Administrator's Office <br />401-C Broadway <br /> <br />Guadalupe Hall <br />Corner of Chumhill and Roosevelt <br /> <br />Hays County Election Administrator's Office <br />401-C Broadway <br /> <br />Hemandez Intermediate School <br />333 Stagecoach Trail <br /> <br /> <br />
