<br />TI-IE STATE OF TEXAS <br /> <br />JOINT ELECTION AGREEMENT <br /> <br />THE COUN'IY OF HAYS <br /> <br />KNOW ALL MEN BY TI-lESE PRESENTS: <br /> <br />That the San Marcos Consolidated Independent School District, <br /> <br />a quasi-municipal corporation, hereinafter referred to as the <br /> <br />"School'!, acting by and through its President of the Boani of <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Trustees and the City of San Marcos, a municipal corporation, <br /> <br />hereinafter referred to as the "City'!, acting by and through its <br /> <br />Mayor, enters into this Joint Election Agreement pursuant to the <br /> <br />terms and provisions herein stated and pursuant to the terms of <br /> <br />the Texas Election Code; to-wit: <br /> <br />1. <br /> <br />School and City hereby agree jointly to hold the regular <br /> <br />election of officers for each political subdivision on Saturday, <br /> <br />April 5, 1980. Said joint elections will be held at the same <br /> <br />polling places in each precinct, said locations being: <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />In Election Precinct No. 11 at Dunbar Center; <br />In Election Precinct No. 12 at Guadalupe Hall; <br />In Election Precinct No. 13 at San Marcos High <br />School Auditorium; <br />In Election Precinct No. 20 at Bugg Lane Fire <br />Station; <br />In Election Precinct No. 30 at Crockett School; <br />In Election Precinct No. 33 at Public Library; <br />In Election Precinct No. 34 at Holland Street <br />Fire Station; <br />In Election Precinct No. 36 at American Lutheran <br />Church; <br />In Election Precinct No. 44 at Woods Homes <br />Auditorium; <br />In Election Precinct No. 45 at San Marcos Public <br />Safety Building; <br />In Election Precinct No. 46 at Travis Elementary <br />School. <br /> <br />It is agreed that all expenses incurred in the adrninistra- <br /> <br />tion of the elections within the corporate limits of San Marcos, <br /> <br />Texas, will be shared equally by the School and City, provided <br /> <br />however, that should construction of voting signs or booths to <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />be used wi thin the corporate limits of said City be necessary, <br />the agency providing the labor for such conctruction will be <br /> <br />responsible for only one-third 0/3) of the cost of Materials. <br /> <br />II. <br /> <br />It is agreed by the parties hereto that a common ballot <br /> <br />will be used for the joint election. <br /> <br />- 20 - <br />
