<br />I <br /> <br />It is agreed by the part~es hereto that common ballot <br />boxes will be used for the joint election, to be provided <br />equally by the two agencies. The ballot boxes holding the <br />voted ballots for the election will be delivered by the <br />Precinct Judges to the City Secretary at the City Hall, 630 <br />East Hopkins Street, and said boxes will remain in her custody <br />except that City agrees to deliver the boxes of voted ballots <br />to School if requested for canvass of the election or in the <br />event the voted ballots are required for any court proceedings <br />in which the school may be a party. City agreeE;; to maintain <br />custody of the ballot boxes containing the voted ballots after <br />delivery by the School until the expiration of sixty (60) days <br />following the date of the election, at which time City will <br />dispose of the voted ballots in the J1EI1Iler prescribed by the <br />Texas Election Code and will return those ballot boxes owned by <br />School to the School District office. <br />II 1. <br />Joint returns of the election will be provided by the <br />Election Judges to the Mayor and School Board President and <br />to the City Secretary and School District Business Manager. <br />All ret\.1rr1s by Election Officials will be made to the City <br />and School at City Hall, 630 East Hopkins Street, wi thin <br />said City following the closing of the various polling places. <br />The Mayor of the City and the City Secretary will maintain <br />custody of the returns until the completion of the election <br />canvass by the City Council, after which City will deliver <br />the original returns to the School District Office for use <br />by the School Boani of Trustees election canvass. School a- <br />grees to maintain custody of the election returns upon deli very <br />by the City for a minimum period of 60 days following the date <br />of the election. <br />School also agrees to furnish City with the original <br />records upon request by the City in the event they are re- <br />quired for any court proCeedings in which the City may be a <br />party. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />- 21 - <br />
