B. pryatel, Alphonso Washington, Stanley Sisson, <br />Diane Sanders, Jerri Martin, Dusty Rhodes, Jerry Moore, Kenneth <br />Long, Ken Kraus, Jake Krauskopf, Austin Curlee, Michael Abbott, <br />Andrew Gary, Rey Guevarra-Vasquez, Chris Brashier, Ralph Ramirez, <br />Billy Moore, Sandy Soyers, Delbert Chance, and others. <br /> <br />The Mayor called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. <br /> <br />Mr. Hansen issued proclamations in observance of the 1980 Winter <br />Olympics and San Marcos High School Government Day. <br /> <br />Mr. Cavazos moved the minutes of the regular meeting held January <br />14, 1980 be approved as presented. Mr. Hyatt seconded the motion. <br />On roll call, the following vote was recorded: <br /> <br />I AYE: Cavazos, Hyatt, Hansen, Breihan <br />NAY: None <br /> ABSTAIN: Sutton, Tenorio <br /> <br />The Mayor introduced for consideration confirmation of the appointment <br />of members to the Master Plan Blue Ribbon Committee. The City Secretary <br />read the list of appointments as follows: Hays County Commissioner <br />Ruben Ruiz; Gary Job Corps Center Business Director Carl Anderson; <br />SWTSU, Michael Abbot; San Marcos Industrial Foundation President W.C. <br />Carson; Planning & Zoning Commissioners Stanley Sisson and Alphonso <br />Washington; San Marcos Consolidated Independent School District <br />Superintendent Gonzalo Garza; San Marcos Area Board of Realtors President <br />Diane Sanders; Environmental Advisory Board, Frances Emery; Chamber <br />of Commerce Manager Gordon Thompson; Tourist Development Board Chairman <br />Gene Phillips; Downtown Merchants Association, John Morrisset. <br />Mr. Breihan moved confirmation of the appointments as read. Mr. <br />Tenorio seconded the motion which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />The Mayor read the caption of an Ordinance as follows: <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING ORDINANCE 1972-7, <br />ADOPTED ~1ARCH 13, 1972, WHICH ESTABLISHED AND <br />REGULATED VARIOUS FEES AND CHARGES FOR CABLE <br />TELEVISION SERVICE WITHIN SAID CITY, BY INCREASING <br />THE MONTHLY SERVICE CHARGE TO SEVEN DOLLARS AND <br />FIFTY CENTS ($7.50) AND DELCARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />Mr. Cavazos moved the Ordinance be approved on second reading. Mr. <br />Hyatt seconded the motion. Mr. Breihan asked if any response had <br />been made to questions raised by citizens concerning additional <br />locations for customers to pay bills. Mr. Hyatt responded that <br />the City did not have the authority to impose such restrictions on <br />businesses. On roll call, the motion to approve the Ordinance on <br />second reading passed unanimously. <br /> <br />~ <br />
