He said he <br />wanted more specific procedures for the committee. Mayor Hansen made a <br />motion to amend the Ordinance to state in Article III, Sec. 3 B (c) that <br />recommendations regarding employees be referred to the City Manager and <br />Personnel Appeals or Civil Service Commission and that recommendations <br />regarding Council Members, Boards, or employees appointed by the Council <br />be referred to the Council and directed the City Manager, City Attorney, <br />Ethics Review Commission and City Council to clarify definition of I <br />employees and any other questions that may come up before the second <br />reading. Mr. James seconded the motion. On roll call, the following <br />vote was recorded: <br /> <br />AYE: Breihan, Cavazos, Hansen, James, Tenorio <br /> <br />NAY: None <br /> <br />ABSTAIN: Sutton <br /> <br />Mr. James moved to approve the Ordinance on first reading. Mr. Tenorio <br />seconded the motion. On roll call, the following vote was recorded: <br /> <br />AYE: Breihani Cavazos, Hansen, James, Tenorio <br /> <br />NAY: None <br /> <br />MSTAIN: Sutton <br /> <br />Mr. Tenorio moved to recess into executive session at 10:52 p.m. Mr. James <br />seconded the motion which passed unanimously. The Council reconvened in <br />regular session at 11:10 p.m. on motion of Mr. Cavazos and second of Mr. <br />Tenorio. Mr. Tenorio moved to approve the payment of moving expenses <br />incurred by the City Manager. Mr. James seconded the motion which passed <br />unanimously. Mr. Sutton moved to direct the City Manager to explore I <br />the possibilities of acquisition of property as discussed by the Council <br />and report back to the Council.
