<br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />CONTRACT FOR <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />CONSULTING SERVICES <br /> <br />STATE OF TEXAS <br /> <br />COUNTY OF HAYS <br /> <br />This Contract entered into this 10th day of March, 1980, by <br />and between the CITY OF SAN &~RCOS, TEXAS, hereinafter called the <br />CITY, acting by and through A. C. Gonzalez, its City Manager, <br />duly authorized to act, and FREESE AND NICHOLS, INC., of Austin, <br />Texas, hereinafter called the CONSULTANT. <br /> <br />WITNESSETH, that in consideration of the covenants and agree- <br />ments herein contained, the parties hereto do mutually agree as <br />follows: <br /> <br />1. EMPLOYMENT OF CONSULTANT: The CITY hereby employs the <br />CONSULTANT and the CONSULTANT agrees to provide professional <br />services hereinafter set forth in connection with the review <br />and update of San Marcos' Comprehensive Master Plan and <br />development related ordinances and policies. <br /> <br />2. CHARACTER AND EXTENT OF CONSULTANT SERVICES: The CONSULTANT <br />shall perform all the necessary services provided under this <br />Contract in order to review, update and modify the Compre- <br />hensive Master Plan and development related ordinances of the <br />City of San Marcos, Texas. The CONSULTANT will be under the <br />direction of the City Manager or his appointed representative. <br />The CITY will be responsible for coordination and liaisoG with <br />the Master Plan Blue Ribbon Committee, the City Council, the <br />Planning and Zoning Commission, and the various advisory <br />boards and interest groups. <br /> <br />The work to be accomplished under this contract is <br />divided into two phases and shall consist of the following: <br /> <br />A. PHASE I: A detailed review with input from the <br />CITY of all existing comprehensive plan elements and develop- <br />ment related ordinances and policies, and development of a <br />scope and procedure for the desired update. <br /> <br />In Phase I, the following tasks will be accomplished. <br /> <br />1. Develop interihl subdivision ordinance. <br /> <br />2. Develop interim zoning ordinance. <br /> <br />3. Aid the staff in the approval process of 1 and 2. <br /> <br />-1- <br />
