Publications <br /> <br />The Contractor agrees that all published materials (written, visual, or <br />audio) prepared in connection with an approved project under this contract, will <br />contain acknowledgement that the development of the material was made possible <br />by thi s contract v'Ii th Depar tment and the U.S. Offi ce of Personnel Management <br />under the Intergovernmental Personnel Act (P. L. 91-648) and that neither <br />Oepar~Ent nor the U. S. Office of Personnel Management is responsible for the <br />accuracy of the material or the conclusions it contains. <br /> <br />Section 20. <br /> <br />Proje_~t JI1Cor~~_ <br /> <br />The Contractor agrees that the interest on contract funds earned by <br />the Contractor shall be returned to Department by check payable to the Comp- <br />troller of the State of Texas. Program income earned by the Contractor during <br />the contract period as a result of project activities, including royalties from <br />copyrights and patents, shall be retained by the Contractor and shall be added <br />to funds comrni tted to the project i)nd used to further e 1 i gi b 1 e program objec- <br />tives. If royalties continue to be received after the completion or termination <br />of this contract, Department and the Contractor shall negotiate the disposition <br />of the Federal share of any amount exceeding $200 received annually. <br /> <br />Section 21. Maintenance of Effort <br /> <br />A. The Contr,Htor fdl'thel assures Department that the programs and <br />projects contained in thi~ application have been prepared and will be implement- <br />ed in coordination with related Federal grants and programs providing for per- <br />sonnel administration services and support, technical assistance, and training <br />and fellowship activities. <br /> <br />Section 22. Private G31n <br /> <br />The Contractor assures Department that no officer or employee of the <br />Contractor, no member of its governing body, and no other public official of <br />the locality in which the approved program or project will be carried out who <br />exercise any functions or responsibilities in the review or approval of the <br />undertaking or carrying out of the approved program or project, may (a) parti- <br />cipate in any decision relating to any contract negotiated under this grant <br />which affects his personal interest or the interest of any corporation, part- <br />nership, or association in which he is, directly or indirectly, interested, or <br />(b) any financial interest, Jirect or indirect, in such contract or in the work <br />to be perfonlled under the program authorized herein. <br /> <br />~ection 23. roliticdl Activities <br /> <br />The (untractor will comply with the provision~; of the Hatch Act which <br />limit the [lol11.,1Cl\1 dltlvity of employees. <br /> <br />Section 24.
