<br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />29 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 1980-38R <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, APPROVING AN ENGINEER- <br />ING SERVICES AGREEMENT FOR REVISIONS TO BISHOP <br />STREET IMPROVEMENTS CONSTRUCTION PLANS SPECIFICA- <br />TIONS BETWEEN THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS AND <br />DABNEY-BYRN AND ASSOCIATES, INC.; AUTHORIZING <br />THE CITY MANAGER OF SAID CITY TO EXECUTE SAID <br />AGREEMENT ON BEHALF OF SAID CITY AND ESTABLISH- <br />ING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of San Marcos, Texas desires to improve <br />Bishop Street within said city; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said improvements are to consist of drainage <br />appurtenances and resurfacing of said street as a two-lane street <br />which can be widened in the future; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City currently possesses certain plans and <br />specifications for improvements to said street; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, there is a need to have said plans and specifications <br />revised; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of said city desires to obtain <br />professional engineering services to revise existing plans and <br />specifications for improvements to Bishop Street to provide <br />other needed design concepts for said improvements and to <br />administer the contract for improvements during the construction <br />phase; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said Council believes the firm of Dabney-Byrn <br />and Associates, Inc. is capable of providing the desired services; <br />now, there fore, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TE XAS : <br /> <br />PART 1. That the Engineering Services Agreement For Revisions <br />To Bishop Street Improvements Construction Plans Specifications <br />between the City of San Marcos, Texas and Dabney, Byrn and Associates, <br />Inc., a copy of which is attached hereto and for all intents and <br />purposes incorporated herein, be, and is hereby, approved. <br /> <br />PART 2. That City Manager A.C. Gonzalez be, and is hereby <br />authorized to execute said Agreement on behalf of the City of San <br />Marcos. <br /> <br />PART 3.
