<br />-4;- <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />f. Furnish twenty (20) copies of approved <br /> <br />drawings, specifications and other <br /> <br />contract documents to City. All sets <br /> <br />of plans in excess of twenty (20) shall <br /> <br />be paid for separately. <br /> <br />g. Furnish to City, when necessary, the englneer- <br /> <br />ing data necessary for application for permits <br /> <br />required by locai, state and federal authorities, <br /> <br />grants or planning advances, provided that subh <br /> <br />data need not extend beyond that actually <br /> <br />developed in the performance of the other covenants <br /> <br />in this agreement. <br /> <br />4. Bidding Phase <br /> <br />a. Prepare a bid tabulation sheet. <br /> <br />b. Investigation prospective bidders and prepare a <br /> <br />recommendation regarding award of the contract. <br /> <br />s. Construction Phase <br /> <br />a. Make periodic visits to the site to observe as an <br /> <br />experienced and qualified design professional the <br /> <br />progress and quality of the executed work, and t9 <br /> <br />determine, in general, if the work is proceeding in <br /> <br />accordance with the plans and specifications; Engineer <br /> <br />shall not be required to make exhaustive or continuous <br /> <br />on-site inspections to check the quality or quantiLY <br />of the work; Engineer shall not be responsible for <br />the means, methods, techniques, sequences or pro- <br />cedures of construction selected by the contractor <br />or the saftey precautions and programs incident to <br />the work of the contractor. Engineer's efforts <br />will be directed towards providing assurance for <br />the City that the completed project will generally <br />conform to the plans and specifications, but Engineer <br />shall not be responsible for the failure of the <br />contractor to perform the construction work ln <br />accordance with the plans and specifications and the <br />contractor's contract, as long as Engineer shall <br />report to the City any deficiencies in the work <br />actually detected by Engineer.
