Mrs. Norris moved the minutes <br />be approved. Mr. Brown seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />Mr. James moved the Council recess into executive session at 7:35 p.m. <br />Mrs. Norris seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. The Council <br />reconvened in regular session at 8:15 p.m. The Mayor stated that no <br />action was taken on acquisition of property or pending litigation. <br /> <br />The Mayor introduced for consideration an Ordinance on third and final <br />reading having the following caption: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS, AMENDING SECTION 3 OF THAT ORDINANCE WHICH REGULATES <br />AND RESTRICTS THE LOCATION AND USE OF BUILDINGS, STRUCTURES <br />AND LAND, DATED MAY 23, 1966 (VOL. 32) BY CHANGING THE ZONING <br />OF PART OF LOT 8 OF THE WEATHERFORD ADDITION FROM "I" <br />(INDUSTRIAL) TO "c" (COMMERCIAL). <br /> <br />Mr. Stokes moved to adopt the Ordinance. Mr. James seconded the motion, <br />which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />The Mayor introduced for consideration the annual report from the <br />Airport Commission. Ray Harper presented the report to the Council. <br /> <br />The Mayor introduced for consideration final plans for Victory Gardens <br />Phase II Project and authorization to bid construction contract. Albert <br />Sierra said that final plans had beEn received and that approval to bid <br />was requested so that bids could be received by the end of July. He <br />also stated that the project should come within the allocated monies for <br />the project. He said the staff had reviewed the plans and recommended <br />them for approval. Mr. James moved to authorize bidding of the contract. <br />Mr. Stokes seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />The Mayor introduced for consideration a Resolution having the following <br />caption: <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />MARCOS, TEXAS, APPROVING AMENDMENT NO. 1 TO A CONTRACT <br />FOR PLANNING SERVICES BETWEEN SAID CITY AND FREESE AND <br />NICHOLS, INC. OF AUSTIN, TEXAS; AUTHORIZING THE CITY <br />MANAGER TO EXECUTE SAID AMENDMENT AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE <br />DATE. <br /> <br />* Council Member Cavazos arrived at 8:45 p.m. <br />
