I

I

I
I
~

PAGE 2

5. The Consultant shall make provisions for the collec-
tion of data from the Project as outlined in the
Project proposal (as amended by letter from Consultant
to Department of Energy, dated September 2, 1980).
The Consultant shall analyze these data and, where
appropriate, assess the results of the experiments.
The Consultant shall furnish any raw data requested
in writing by the City's Water and Wastewater Superinten-
dent within one week of the date of such request.

6. The Consultant shall prepare and submit to the City's
Water and Wastewater Superintendent written reports
upon the progress of the Project as provided herein.

It is agreed that the City shall provide the following services
to the Consultant:

1. The City shall provide a suitable site for all Project
facilities and make reasonable physical and/or operational
alterations in existing facilities necessary to accommodate
Project operations.

2. The City shall provide manpower as available to assist
in the operation of the Project facilities. The City
shall use its best efforts to conduct twice daily walk-
through inspections of the Project facilities, during
which air and wastewater temperature data shall be recorded
for use by the Consultant from thermometers placed by the
Consultant. Any malfunctions or other problems with
Project facilities shall be brought to the attention of
the Consultant as soon as possible.

3. The City shall provide all supplies, materials, equip-
ment, and other expenses incurred in the construction
and operation of the Project facilities, unless other-
wise provided for herein, except that the City's total
liability shall not extend beyond $11,500. The City
shall only expend funds for these purposes upon written
request of the Consultant.

4. The City shall collect wastewater samples from equipment
placed by the Consultant, and shall use its best efforts
to carry out the following wastewater tests upon those
samples: 5-day biochemical oxygen demand, total suspended
solids, and fecal coliform. Collection of samples and
testing shall be carried out a minimum of three days per
week. In the event that this minimum schedule is adhered
to, at least one non-test day shall elapse before the next
collection and testing day. The results of these tests
shall be furnished to the Consultant on a regular schedule
at a minimum frequency of once weekly.
