RESOLUTION NO. 1980-68-R A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS APPROVING A CONTRACT FOR ENGINEERING SERVICES IN CONNECTION WITH IMPROVEMENTS TO STREETS AND DRAINAGE IN THE MILL STREET AREA IN THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER OF SAID CITY TO EXECUTE SAID CONTRACT AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of San Marcos intends to make certain improvements to streets and drainage facilities 1n the Mill Street Area in the City of San Marcos; and, WHEREAS, after consideration and investigation, said Council finds that Freese and Nichols, Inc., of Austin, Texas, is qualified to provide engineering services in connection with said improvements; and, WHEREAS, said Council wishes to employ Freese and Nichols, Inc. of Austin, Texas to provide such professional services; now, there- fore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: PART 1. That the Contract for Engineering Services in connec- tion with improvements to streets and drainage in the Mill Street area between the City of San Marcos, Texas and Freese and Nichols, Inc. of Austin, Texas, a copy of which is attached hereto and in- corporated herein for all intents and purposes, be, and is hereby, approved in all respects. PART 2. That the city manager of the City of San Marcos, A.C. Gonzalez be, and he is hereby, authorized to execute said contract on behalf of said city. PART 3.
