SA CONTRACT FOR ENGINEERING SERVICES I STATE OF TEXAS COUNTY OF HAYS Thi s Contract entered into thi s 23rd day of September , 1980, bj and between the City of SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, hereinafter called the Owner, acting by and through A. C. Gonzalez, its City Manager, duly authori zed to act. and FREESE AN>O NICHOLS, IrlC., of Austi n, Texas, Regi sterp.1 Professional Engineers, hereinafter called the Engineer. Witnesseth, that in consideration of the covenants and agreements herein contained, the parties hereto do mutually agree as follows: 1. Employment of Engineer: The Owner hereby employs the Engineer and the Engineer agrees to perform professional engineering services hereinafter set forth in connection with certain improvements to streets and drainage in the Mill Street area, shown as Attachment A, and here- inafter called the Project. 2. Character and Extent of Services: The Engineer shall render engineering services which include the following: I a. Preliminary Engineering: 1 ) Review existing reports, maps, plats and other information that may be provided by the Owner. 2) Attend conferences with the Owner and other In- terested parties regarding the Project. 3) Prepare engineering studies and information on the Project and propose alternative solutions including estimated costs of alternatives. 4) Meet with the Owner and present findings and make recommendations for improvements, then prepare final report. Ten (10) copies of the final report will be provided to the Owner. 5) The final report shall be completed for submittal to the City Council within eighty-five (85) days of authorization to proceed.
