<br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />-2- <br /> <br />VI. <br />General Caretaker Services <br /> <br />Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment <br />and supplies to provide general cemetery service, assist funeral <br />homes and gravesite contractors prior to graveside services, and <br />complete cleanup after services. <br /> <br />A. Opening and Closing of Cemetery - Cemetery gates are <br />to be opened at 7:00 a.m. and locked at 7:00 p.m. each <br />day during daylight savings time. They shall be opened <br />at 8:00 a.m. and locked at 6:00 p.m. central standard <br />time each day. This service shall be performed seven <br />days per week. <br /> <br />B. Caretaker Service - Contractor shall have at least one <br />full time employee on site from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. <br />from Monday through Friday each week. The employee <br />shall be trained to locate gravesites, within two (2) <br />weeks of award of contract. <br /> <br />C. Grave plots and curb parameters are to be located and <br />corners marked by Contractor as needed by City. The <br />method of reaching Contractor (whether by telephone, <br />radio, walkie-talkie, etc.) will be named by Contractor <br />at award of bid. Response time for requests made by <br />City on marking of gravesites and curb parameters will <br />be no greater than one (l) hour. <br /> <br />D. Showing Lots for Sale - Contractor shall be responsible <br />for showing cemetery lots for sale to citizens visiting <br />the Cemetery. The map of available lots will be provided <br />the Contractor by City within one (l) week of award <br />of contract. The measure of performance by Contractor <br />will be based on citizen response. <br /> <br />E. After funeral services, gravesites are to be cleared <br />of rocks and other debris and topsoil placed on the <br />grave. <br /> <br />F. Fallen tree limbs, dead vegetation and dead flowers are <br />to be removed as specified in the cemetery rules. <br /> <br />G. All small trees, overgrown shrubs or other plant <br />material which germinates or is currently growing <br />near headstones, curbs or other objects that could <br />be damaged, shall be removed. <br /> <br />H. Mausoleum care shall include sweeping out the building <br />before services take place and destroying any wasp or <br />other insect nests inside the building. <br /> <br />I. Weeds in gravel on gravesites shall be destroyed by <br />use of herbicides. Weed height shall not be allowed <br />to exceed three (3) inches. <br /> <br />VII. <br />Turf Care - Fine Cut <br /> <br />This work shall include all labor, materials, equipment, <br />supplies and services to maintain in a superior condition all turf <br />areas, approximately thirty (30) acres in scope. These areas shall <br />be maintained with a crisp, clean appearance and as otherwise <br />delineated herein. (See map located at City Hall) . <br /> <br />All turf areas indicated shall receive no less than the <br />following: <br /> <br />A. Grass height shall be no less than two (2) inches and <br />not allowed to exceed three (3) inches between mowings. <br />
