I

I

Using the above outline to delineate the scope of the project,
we estimate the following cost breakdown.

Paving and Drainage Improvements
Rebuild Blind Hill
Total (Raw Construction Cost)
Plus 5% Contingency
Total Estimated Construction Cost
Plus Estimated Engineering/Surveying Fees
Estimated Project Cost
Inflationary Adjustment (15%/yr. for 6 mos.)
Total Estimated Project Cost

$216,061.78
45,500.00
261,561.78
13,078.09
274,639.87
20,000.00
294,639.87
22,097.99
316,737.86

It should be understood that as we proceed with the design process
slight changes may become required in the scope of the project.
Further, measures for reducing project costs may surface in the
course of the design.

Elements specifically
include:
1.
2.

excluded from consideration in this

scenarlo

3.
4 .

Utilities extensions within the project area.
Paving or drainage improvements outside the project
area.
Cost of Right-of-Way Acquisition*
Signing or striping

We feel this new revised project outline achieves substantial
improvements for Bishop Street with the funds available. The
scope of the project is manageable and we are confident of pro-
ducing an efficient, and economical design using these criteria.

*project improvements outlined above will require some additional
right-of-way in places. See Fig. A,2. These requirements
should not be substantial since the proposed drainage improvements
are minor.
