I I I 68 regular meeting november 24, 1980 page three AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING APPENDIX A, THE GENERAL ZONING ORDINANCE, OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF SAID CITY BY CHANGING THE MINIMUM REAR SETBACK REQUIREMENTS IN D, M, P-l, P-2, C AND I DISTRICTS; BY CHANGING TERMINOLOGY; BY SETTING REQUIREMENTS FOR ACCESSORY BUILDINGS; BY REGULATING THE HEIGHT OF FENCES AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Mr. Brown stated that he would like to see the rear set back requirement for multi-family be changed to 7~'. He received no second. Mrs. Norris moved to approve the Ordinance on second reading. Mr. Tarbutton seconded the motion. On roll call, the following vote was recorded: AYE: Cavazos, James, Kraus, Norris, Stokes, Tarbutton NAY: Brown The Mayor introduced for consideration an Ordinance on second reading, the caption of which was read as follows: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, APPROVING THE PRICE AND CONDITIONS OF THE SALE BY THE CITY OF SAN rffiRCOS, TEXAS, OF PART OF LOTS NO. FIVE (5) AND SIX (6) IN BLOCK NO. TWO (2) OF THE J. S. TRAVIS ADDITION TO SAID CITY TO THE SAN ~ffiRCOS TELEPHONE COMPANY; AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A WARRANTY DEED TO THE SAN MARCOS TELEPHONE COMPANY; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Mrs. Norris moved to approve the Ordinance on second reading. Mr. Tarbutton seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. The Mayor introduced for consideration an Ordinance on third and final reading, the caption of which was read as follows: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING SECTION 3 OF THAT ORDINANCE hTHICH REGULATES AND RESTRICTS THE LOCATION AND USE OF BUILDINGS, STRUCTURES AND LAND, DATED SEPTEMBER 29, 1980 (VOL. 54) BY CHANGING THE ZONING OF 9.8509 ACRES OUT OF THE J.M. VERAMENDI LEAGUE NO. TWO; LOCATED ON RIVER ROAD, FROM "R-l" (SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENTIAL) TO "MH" (MOBILE HOME DISTRICT) . Mrs. Norris moved to adopt the Ordinance on third and final reading. Mr. Tarbutton seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. The Mayor introduced for consideration an Ordinance on third and final reading, the caption of which was read as follows: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, ANNEXING TO SAID CITY A CONTIGUOUS TP~CT OF LAND CONTAINING 266 ACRES LOCATED WITHIN THE EXTRATERRITORIAL JURISDICTION OF SAID CITY AND LYING ADJACENT TO PRESENT CITY BOUNDARIES; EXTENDING THE BOUNDARY LIMITS OF SAID CITY SO AS TO INCLUDE SAID 266 ACRES; GRANTING TO THE INHABITANTS OF SAID 266 ACRES ALL THE RIGHTS AND PRIVILEGES OF OTHER CITIZENS OF SAID CITY; BINDING SAID INHABITANTS BY ALL OF THE ACTS AND ORDINANCES, RULES AND REGULATIONS OF SAID CITY AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Mrs. Norris moved to adopt the Ordinance on third and final reading. Mr. James seconded the motion, which passed unanimously.
