<br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />68 <br /> <br />regular meeting <br /> <br />november 24, 1980 <br /> <br />page three <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS, AMENDING APPENDIX A, THE GENERAL ZONING ORDINANCE, <br />OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF SAID CITY BY CHANGING THE <br />MINIMUM REAR SETBACK REQUIREMENTS IN D, M, P-l, P-2, C <br />AND I DISTRICTS; BY CHANGING TERMINOLOGY; BY SETTING <br />REQUIREMENTS FOR ACCESSORY BUILDINGS; BY REGULATING THE <br />HEIGHT OF FENCES AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />Mr. Brown stated that he would like to see the rear set back requirement <br />for multi-family be changed to 7~'. He received no second. Mrs. <br />Norris moved to approve the Ordinance on second reading. Mr. Tarbutton <br />seconded the motion. On roll call, the following vote was recorded: <br /> <br />AYE: Cavazos, James, Kraus, Norris, Stokes, Tarbutton <br /> <br />NAY: Brown <br /> <br />The Mayor introduced for consideration an Ordinance on second reading, <br />the caption of which was read as follows: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS, APPROVING THE PRICE AND CONDITIONS OF THE SALE BY <br />THE CITY OF SAN rffiRCOS, TEXAS, OF PART OF LOTS NO. FIVE (5) <br />AND SIX (6) IN BLOCK NO. TWO (2) OF THE J. S. TRAVIS ADDITION <br />TO SAID CITY TO THE SAN ~ffiRCOS TELEPHONE COMPANY; AUTHORIZING <br />THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A WARRANTY DEED TO THE SAN MARCOS TELEPHONE <br />COMPANY; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />Mrs. Norris moved to approve the Ordinance on second reading. Mr. <br />Tarbutton seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />The Mayor introduced for consideration an Ordinance on third and <br />final reading, the caption of which was read as follows: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS, AMENDING SECTION 3 OF THAT ORDINANCE hTHICH REGULATES <br />AND RESTRICTS THE LOCATION AND USE OF BUILDINGS, STRUCTURES <br />AND LAND, DATED SEPTEMBER 29, 1980 (VOL. 54) BY CHANGING THE <br />ZONING OF 9.8509 ACRES OUT OF THE J.M. VERAMENDI LEAGUE NO. <br />TWO; LOCATED ON RIVER ROAD, FROM "R-l" (SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENTIAL) <br />TO "MH" (MOBILE HOME DISTRICT) . <br /> <br />Mrs. Norris moved to adopt the Ordinance on third and final reading. <br />Mr. Tarbutton seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />The Mayor introduced for consideration an Ordinance on third and <br />final reading, the caption of which was read as follows: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS, ANNEXING TO SAID CITY A CONTIGUOUS TP~CT OF LAND CONTAINING <br />266 ACRES LOCATED WITHIN THE EXTRATERRITORIAL JURISDICTION <br />OF SAID CITY AND LYING ADJACENT TO PRESENT CITY BOUNDARIES; <br />EXTENDING THE BOUNDARY LIMITS OF SAID CITY SO AS TO INCLUDE <br />SAID 266 ACRES; GRANTING TO THE INHABITANTS OF SAID 266 ACRES <br />ALL THE RIGHTS AND PRIVILEGES OF OTHER CITIZENS OF SAID CITY; <br />BINDING SAID INHABITANTS BY ALL OF THE ACTS AND ORDINANCES, <br />RULES AND REGULATIONS OF SAID CITY AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />Mrs. Norris moved to adopt the Ordinance on third and final reading. <br />Mr. James seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />The Mayor introduced for consideration an Ordinance on third and <br />final reading, the caption of which was read as follows: <br />
