<br />A PROPOSED ANNEXATION
<br />TO THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS
<br />OUT OF THE
<br />THOMAS G. McGEHEE SURVEY
<br />AND THE
<br />WILLIAM PETTUS LEAGUE
<br />HAYS COUNTY AND CALDWELL COUNTY, TEXAS
<br />
<br />BEING 1890 ACRES OF LAND, MORE OR LESS, ADJOINING THE EXISTING CITY LIMITS OF
<br />SAN MARCOS, OUT OF THE THOMAS G. fkGEHEE SURVEY AND THE WI LLIA~1 PETTUS LEAGUE,
<br />BEING 263 ACRES OF LAND, MORE OR LESS, OUT OF HAYS COUNTY AND 1627 ACRES OF LAND,
<br />MORE OR LESS OUT OF CALDWELL COUNTY, AND BEING MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED BY
<br />METES AND BOUNDS AS FOLLOWS, TO-WIT:
<br />
<br />BEGINNING at the Southeast corner of that tract of land annexed by the City of
<br />San Marcos by an Ordinance of Annexation dated March 9, 1954 and recorded in
<br />Volume 28, Page 239 of the San Marcos City Council Minutes, same being on the
<br />Southwest Right-of-Way line of State Highway No. 80, for the most Westerly South-
<br />west corner of the tract herein described;
<br />
<br />THENCE, in a Northeasterly direction, with the said existing City Limits, crossing
<br />the said State Highway No. 80, to the Northeast corner of the above referenced an-
<br />nexed tract of land, being on the Northwest line of State Highway No. 80,
<br />
<br />THENCE, with the Northeast line of State Highway No. 80, to its intersection with
<br />the Northwest line of State Highway No. 21;
<br />
<br />THENCE, leaving the said State Highway No. 80, in a Northeasterly direction, with
<br />the Northwest line of the said State Highway No. 21, crossing the M~K.T. Railroad
<br />and continuing on to the South corner of that 223 acre tract of land conveyed to
<br />W. W. Patterson by L. B. Albin, by deed dated December 1, 1913 and recorded in
<br />Volume 84, Page 608 of the Hays County Deed Records;
<br />
<br />THENCE, leaving the said State Highway No. 21, in a Northwesterly direction to the
<br />most Westerly corner of the said Patterson 223 acre tract;
<br />
<br />THENCE, in a Northeasterly direction with the Northwest line of the said Patterson
<br />223 acre tract to the North corner of the said Patterson 223 acre tract, for a
<br />Northwesterly corner of the tract herein described;
<br />
<br />THENCE, in a Southeasterly direction with the Northeast line of the said Patterson
<br />223 acre tract, to the East corner of the said Patterson 223 acre tract, same being
<br />on the Northwest Right-of-Way line of the aforementioned State Highway No. 21;
<br />
<br />THENCE, leaving the said Patterson 223 acre tract, in a Northeasterly direction with
<br />the Northwest line of the State Highway No. 21 to its intersection with the pro-
<br />jection of the Northeast line of Caldwell County Road No. 238, for the most Northerly
<br />corner of the tract herein described;
<br />
<br />THENCE, in a Southeasterly direction with the projection of the Northeast line of
<br />the said Caldwell County Road No. 238, crossing the said State Highway No. 21 and
<br />the Hays-Caldwell County line, joining the Northeast line of the said Caldwell
<br />County Road No. 238 and continuing on with the Northeast line of the said Caldwell
<br />County Road No. 238 to its intersection with the projection of a Southeast line of
<br />that 1303.055 acre tract of land conveyed to the City of San Marcos by the United
<br />States of America by deed dated February 14, 1966 and recorded in Volume 313, Page 463,
<br />Caldwell County Deed Records, for the most Easterly corner of the tract herein de-
<br />scribed;
<br />
<br />THENCE, in a Southwesterly direction with the said projection of the Southeast line
<br />of the said City of San Marcos 1303.055 acre tract, S 480 29' W, crossing the said
<br />Caldwell County Road No. 238, passing the most Easterly corner of the said City
<br />of San Marcos 1303.055 acre tract, and continuing on 2475.88 feet to a Southeast
<br />corner of the said City of San Marcos 1303.055 acre tract;
