<br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />serVlce annuities and prior service annuities arising <br />from service of such employees to this City, and ln <br />effect prior to the date last above-mentioned. <br /> <br />(b) Each such rronthly benefit for the month of January <br />1981, and each month thereafter shall be increased by <br />40% above the amount of the regular benefit (as distin- <br />guished from any supplemental or distributive benefit) <br />in effect for the month of December, 1980. <br /> <br />SECTION 5. That the Code of Ordinances, City of San Marcos, <br />Texas is hereby amended by adding a section, to be numbered 2-45, <br />which said section reads as follows: <br /> <br />Section 2-45. The granting of "Updated Service Credits" <br />as provided in Section 2-43 above and the granting of in- <br />creases in annuities in effect, as provided in Section 2-44, <br />above, shall be conditioned upon and subject to approval by <br />the Board of Trustees of Texas Municipal Retirement System <br />as provided in the act governing said System. <br /> <br />SECTION 6. That the Code of Ordinances, City of San Marcos, <br />Texas is hereby amended by adding a section, to be numbered 2-46, <br />which said section read~ as follows: <br /> <br />Section 2-46. Increased Municipal Contributions to the <br />Current Service Annuity Reserve at retirement of the employees <br />of the City of San Marcos. <br /> <br />Effective January 1, 1981, for each month of Current <br />Service thereafter rendered by each of its employees who <br />are members of the Texas Municipal Retirement System, <br />the City will contribute to the current service annuity <br />reserve of each such member at the time of his retirement, <br />a sum that is 150% of such member's accumulated deposits <br />for such month of employment; and said sum shall be contri- <br />buted from the City's account in the Municipality Current <br />Service Accumulation Fund. <br /> <br />SECTION 7.
