I I I 25 regular meeting december 22, 1980 page three The Mayor then introduced for consideration limiting board members to two terms. It was the concensus of the Council to have a Resolution placed on the January 12th agenda to cover this item. The Mayor introduced for consideration an amendment to the City's utility extension policy. A copy of the memo is attached and made a part of these minutes. The City Manager reviewed the proposed amendment for the Council. Mr. Brown moved to approve the amendment. Mr. James seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. The Mayor introduced for consideration authorization of payment from contingency funds to pay for title policy on old City Hall. Mr. James moved to authorize payment. Mrs. Norris seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. The Mayor introduced for consideration award of bid on copler. Mayor Kraus moved to award the bid for lease purchase of two machines to IBM. The City Manager indicated that the equipment would first be leased on a six month basis to make sure the equipment is satisfactory. Mr. Tarbutton seconded the motion. On roll call, the following vote was recorded: AYE: Brown, Cavazos, Kraus, Tarbutton NAY: James, Norris The Council recessed to executive session at 8:45 p.m. on motion of Mrs. Norris and second of Mr. Tarbutton to discuss personnel and acquisition of property. The Council reconvened in regular session at 9:25 p.m. on motion of Mrs. Norris and second of Mr. Tarbutton. The Mayor stated that no action was taken on either item.
