Convention and Visitor Bureau Advisory Board: Danny Arredondo, Tourist Attraction <br />Representative <br />Parks and Recreation Advisory Board: Ruben Becerra term ending 2013; Lance Jones term <br />ending 2012. <br />Neighborhood Commission: Staff will continue to solicit volunteer applications for Sector 6 <br />Zoning Board of Adjustments: Katy McCarty <br />19. Discussion regarding Boards and Commissions term expiration dates in the City Code <br />vs. current practice, and provide direction to Staff. <br />MOTION: Upon a motion made by Council Member Thomason and a second by Council <br />Member Becak, the City Council voted six (6) for and none (0) opposed, to postpone Items 19 <br />and 20 until the March 20, 2012 meeting. The motion carried unanimously. <br />20. Receive a Staff presentation and hold discussion regarding the creation of a Citizens <br />Utility Advisory Commission, and provide direction to Staff. <br />MOTION: Upon a motion made by Council Member Thomason and a second by Council <br />Member Becak, the City Council voted six (6) for and none (0) opposed, to postpone Items 19 <br />and 20 until the March 20, 2012 meeting. The motion carried unanimously. <br />21. Discussion regarding the review of a draft ordinance that would amend the City's <br />Land Development Code, Section 1.5.1.4.e.1, in regards to the shrinking of boundary lines <br />to defeat a protest petition, and provide direction to Staff. <br />City Council consensus was to send forward to the Planning and Zoning Commission for review. <br />22. Question and Answer Session with Press and Public. This is an opportunity for the Press <br />and Public to ask questions related to items on this agenda. <br />23. Adiournment. <br />MOTION: Upon a motion made by Council Member Prather and a second by Council Member <br />Becak, the City Council voted six (6) for and none (0) opposed, to adjourn the regular meeting of <br />the San Marcos City Council at 10:44 p.m. on Tuesday, March 6, 2012.
