<br />would expand by $5,000 or 100%. The majority of these costs would be reflected in <br />more color maps and an overall improved fact book. The Community Profile would also <br />be expanded to cover additional infonnation. Education and Seminars has increased by <br />$900 to cover costs associated with an additional staff person. The single largest expense <br />increase is in Target Marketing and Recruitment. That item has increased by $30,900. <br />The EDC would use that increase to fund a national marketing program that would <br />include trade shows, national print ads and marketing trips to specific employers. <br /> <br />The staff will continue to participate with the regional allies such as the Austin-San <br />Antonio Corridor Council and the Lower Colorado River Authority when marketing to <br />other parts of the country. Staff will also attend the Texas Economic Development <br />Council meetings and LCRA economic development seminars. <br /> <br />This budget represents programs designed to provide the greatest return possible on the <br />investment.
