Attachment A Page 1 of 8 City of San Marcos Cottonwood Creek Lift Station, Force Main and Interceptor SCOPE OF SERVICES A.1. Preliminary Engineering Phase Upon written authorization to proceed from the City, Freese and Nichols Engineering Inc. (FNI) will perform the following tasks in this phase of work: 1 . Provide project management and coordination of work effort. 2. Provide and establish baseline field control for the Contractor 3. Attend a one (1) pre-project meeting with City staff. Topics for this meeting will include the following: · Design criteria and guidelines; · Permit requirements; · Constraints, restrictions and specific features unique to this project; Access to site(s) for survey and geotechnical investigation; · Project communication process; Format of report, plans and construction documents; Establish a project schedule; and Obtain reports, topographic maps and other information deemed pertinent to this project. 4. Attend four (4) biweekly progress meetings with the City to provide an update report of the progress of the project. 5. Review the 1987 Wastewater System Master Plan and incorporate pertinent information into the project. 6. Review the 1998 Preliminary Design Report for the Eastside Interceptor Phase II and the IH35 Relief Sewer Extension and incorporate pertinent information into the project. 7. Attend one meeting with Centerpoint Road property owners. 8. Prepare preliminary alignment map based on the City two foot contour topographic map and alignments developed by City staff and the 1987 Wastewater System Master Plan. 9. Prepare and submit four (4) preliminary design reports which will contain the following items: Define the service area for this project and a service period of 5 years and 20 years.
