<br />1.1.6 Engineer will perform all of its services in coordination with the City. The Engineer <br />will advise the City of data and information the Engineer needs to perform its services, and <br />the Engineer will meet with City representatives at mutually convenient times to assemble <br />this data and information. <br /> <br />1.2 PHASE 1 - PRELIMINARY ENGINEERING <br /> <br />The Engineer will: <br /> <br />1.2.1 Perform site visits to the Project area to obtain first-hand knowledge ofthe proposed <br />alignments. <br /> <br />1.2.2 Collect and review background information (utility maps, record drawings of existing <br />facilities, plats, existing wastewater flow records, proposed developments, electronic file <br />of two-foot contour maps along proposed pipeline alignments, etc.) of the Project area. <br /> <br />1.2.3 Review existing developments in the project area, existing wastewaterflow records, <br />development proposals submitted to the City, existing and proposed zoning, and the <br />wastewater flow rates developed in the Eastside Interceptor Phases 1 and <br />2 projects. <br /> <br />1.2.4 Meet with the City to confirm the development plans, service areas, service periods, <br />and design parameters to be used in the development of wastewater flow contributions. <br /> <br />1.2.5 Define the service area and develop wastewater flows for the defined service <br />periods. Compare wastewater flow contributions to the flows defined in the 1995 City <br />Wastewater Master Plan. <br /> <br />1.2.6 Develop a preliminary plan to provide wastewater service to the Project area through <br />the service period defined by the City. <br /> <br />1.2.7 Conduct regularly scheduled progress meetings with the City. Meetings will be held <br />at two week intervals and will be supplementary to other meetings defined in these <br />services. It is anticipated that a total of four meetings will be required. <br /> <br />1.2.8 Define the minimum and maximum flow rates through the wastewater lines and <br />determine preliminary line sizes based on anticipated slopes. <br /> <br />1.2.9 Evaluate the two alternatives for the Willow Creek Relief Sewer Line (parallel line <br />or replacement line), prepare preliminary probable cost estimates for each alternative, and <br />make a recommendation to the City. <br /> <br />1.2.10 Determine the alignment for the Eastside Interceptor Phase 3 and the Willow Creek <br />Relief Sewer Line, prepare conceptual plan view drawings of the pipeline alignments, and <br />identify anticipated easement requirements. <br /> <br />2 <br />
