prepared by Engineer and/or its subconsultants,' contractors, and subcontractors in connection with this Agreement will not diminish Engineer's responsibility for the materials. 1.1.4 Engineer will perform all of its services in coordination with the City. The Engineer will advise the City of data and information the Engineer needs to perform its services, and the Engineer will meet with City representatives at mutually convenient times to assemble this data and information. 1.2 PHASE 1 - PRELIMINARY The Engineer will: Preliminary Engineering Report 1.2.1 Gather available information on the Project area and wastewater line alignments including, but not limited to the following: (a) The City's Wastewater Master Plan, land use data, and design criteria. (b) Existing utility system maps (water, wastewater, telephone, gas, electric and cable). (c) Existing digital topography. (d) Existing City and TxDOT construction plans and right-of-way maps. (e) Existing easement maps and documents. (f) TxDOT and railroad bore permit requirements. (g) Natural and cultural resource information (floodplain, wetlands, endangered species, historical sites inventory) 1.2.2 Define Project service areas (Sink Creek Basin, Lion's Park, and Sessom Drive at Loop 82). 1.2.3 Compile information into a digital base map on the computer. 1.2.4 Analyze the current and projected wastewater demands in the study area. 1.2.5 Conduct a preliminary field survey of potential alignments to verify information on base map. 1.2.6 Develop preliminary line sizing and alignment recommendations for collection improvements to serve the Sink Creek Basin from the Loop 82 Lift Station to the existing interceptor on the east side of IH-35, service from Lion's Park to the proposed Sink Creek Interceptor, and line to relieve Sessom Drive gravity sewer with river crossing. 1.2.7 Evaluate various pipe materials for speed of construction and initial and life cycle costs. 2
