<br />1.2.8 Perform preliminary environmental assessment. Cultural resource review shall <br />consist of consultation with the Texas Historical Commission. If an archaeological survey <br />is required, Engineer will perform as an additional service. <br /> <br />1.2.9 Prepare letter report with exhibits detailing recommendations. <br /> <br />1.2.10 Meet with the City to discuss findings and recommendations. <br /> <br />Topographic Survey <br /> <br />1.2.11 Survey and calculate potential alternate wastewater line alignments using existing <br />City benchmarks. <br /> <br />1.2.12 Produce topographic maps of potential wastewater line alignments. Maps shall be <br />prepared using Microstation digital format and shall use City standard symbols and levels <br />for topographic representations. <br /> <br />Preliminary Design <br /> <br />1.2.13 Meet with City to develop the preferred alignments for line improvements. <br /> <br />1.2.14 Provide four soil borings along the preferred alignments to determine subsurface <br />character and possible presence of groundwater. If additional soil borings are required for <br />the river crossing to relieve the Sessom Drive gravity line, Engineer will perform as an <br />additional service. <br /> <br />1.2.15 Prepare preliminary plan/profile drawings of the proposed improvements using <br />Microstation digital format. <br /> <br />1.2.16 Develop construction cost estimates of proposed and alternate line improvements <br />and submit to City for review and approval. <br /> <br />1.2.17 Assist the City in connection with the City's responsibility for filing documents <br />required for the approval of governmental and funding authorities having jurisdiction over <br />the Project. <br /> <br />1.3 PHASE II - FINAL DESIGN AND BIDDING <br /> <br />The Engineer will: <br /> <br />1.3.1 Conduct a minimum of four meetings with the City as needed to update the City on <br />the progress of the final design phase. <br /> <br />1.3.2 Coordinate the integration of design, surveying, right of way issues, traffic control, <br />utility engineering, permitting, and other services as previously approved. <br /> <br />3 <br />
