O-pdonal S~rvices It is recognized that since Guadalupe Street is a designated state route and LBJ Drive is a state connecting route of the Texas Department of TransportatiOIJ. To convince the DOT of the desirability and need to convert this street from one-way to two-way may require a detailed feasibility study. This feasibility stUdy will require additional turning movement counts at all intersections affected by the change as well as a capacity analysis of each of these intersection areas. Considerable a-pense accompanies such a change for signing, pavement marking, signalization and possibly street geometries. The consultants will prepare functional plans for these street segments and an order.of-magnitude cost estimate for tbe recommended changes. The results of this study will be documented in a report entitled the Feasibility of Two.way Operations on Guadalupe Street and LBJ Drive. This report will be presented to Texas DOT officials in a meeting at the Austin District Office or in a location to be selected by the client. Two presentation meetings are included in the consulting fee. Consultina Fees The consulting fees for BAde Services are estabUsbed at S7 ,500 to include all manpower, labor cost and printing costs of 5 copies of the draft report. Travel costs of $600 are estimated for one trip to San Marcos. For Optional Services, the consulting fee is $6,000 plus meetings with Texas DOT officials. Assuming two meetings at $1,000 each the fee for these services is $8,000 plus travel. The total upset fee for Basic and Optional Services (if done as one contract) including travel expense will be 516,100. Time of lerfonmance The basic services can be completed within 60 days of the date of the first visit. Optional Services can be completed within 120 days of the ftrst visit with the exception of meetings with Texas DOT which is dependent on the scheduling of these meetings.
