<br />I <br /> <br />(~ ~ r t l 2~} t <br /> <br />Based on information provided by community representatives on the Hays County Mitigation <br />Planning Committee, research of state and federal agency websites there are no State or <br />Federal designations related to minority or economically disadvantaged populations in Hays <br />County or any community within Hays County. The Hays County minority populations are <br />lower than the Texas state average and there are no records of Economic Development <br />Administration (EDA) funded projects in Hays County. <br /> <br />The major highway in Hays County is Interstate Highway 35 (IH-35), which runs through the <br />City of San Marcos and the City of Kyle. IH-35 is a major north-south route through Texas. <br />U.S. Highway 290 traverses the north portion of the County, and numerous farm-to-market <br />roads and state highways are also located within the county. <br /> <br />This plan addresses all areas within Hays County, Texas.
