The goal is to designate and placard <br />HAZMA T Routes in critical areas. <br /> <br />Responsibility: <br /> <br />Hays County <br />City of San Marcos <br />CSRTPO <br /> <br />Cost: <br /> <br />$ 5,000 estimated study cost <br />$ 25,000 estimated cost to placard selected roadways <br /> <br />Funding Sources: <br /> <br />TxDOT <br />TxDEM <br />Department of Homeland Security (FEMA) <br />Hays County <br />City of San Marcos <br /> <br />Timing: <br /> <br />Initiate study in 2006 <br />Phase signage 2007-2010 <br /> <br />Beneficiary: <br /> <br />Countywide <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />H-2 is Mitigation Action E-S, "Development of and maintenance of countywide and <br />individual community HAZMAP Plans". <br /> <br />Hays County, working closely with each participating community, will conduct annual <br />Plan reviews and assist communities to formally adopt and implement the Hays County <br />Mitigation Plan. Communities that do not formally adopt the county-wide plan during <br />the initial adoption will be encouraged to adopt and implement the Plan during annual <br />plan reviews. The ultimate goal is for all incorporated communities to join Hays <br />County and formally adopt and implement the Plan. <br /> <br />Fire Resistance Action Items (Fire) (Four actions identified) <br /> <br />Note: Mitigation Action T-2 includes building code and building standards improvements that <br />pertain to Fire Resistance and mitigation. <br /> <br />Fire-I. There are <br />numerous rural and volunteer fire stations in Hays County that do not have backup power <br />available.
