<br />eLl, :~\.i::~l_~., <br /> <br />As a possible alternative the Hays County Mitigation Planning Committee considered <br />purchasing a mobile power generator as noted in the following Texas Government Insider <br />article referencing action by the City of Victoria in July 2006: <br />Victoria considers $100K mobile power generator <br /> <br />With a goal of keeping the city's water and sewer system operating during a sustained power <br />loss, the city of Victoria is contemplating purchasing a mobile power generator at a cost of <br />more than $100,000. The generator could be used for everything from operating pumps that <br />send water to the treatment plant to keeping sewer system lift stations up and running. The <br />600-kilowatt generator is mounted on a trailer so that it can be moved to the location where it <br />is needed.
