<br />Hi'\" te,L; ;1:\ , , <br /> <br />The City of San Marcos formally adopted the ~12f!1I Hays County Mitigation Plan by <br />Resolution No. 2004-25-R adopted October 11, 2004 which is included in Plan Section 8.0. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />VilJae:e of Bear Creek <br />The Village of Bear Creek formally adopted the Hays County Mitigation Plan by <br />Resolution adopted December 20, 2004 which is included in Plan Section 8.0. <br /> <br />Hays County and all of the incorporated communities in Hays County were invited to <br />participate in the mitigation planning process. Representatives from Hays County and all <br />incorporated communities attended planning meetings and participated in the planning process <br />several communities chose not to formally adopt the Hays County Mitigation Plan which is a <br />requirement established by the Disaster Mitigation Act of 2000 and the FEMA mitigation <br />planning requirements posted in the Federal Register, Volume 67, No. 38 February 26, 2002. <br />Therefore communities that do not fOIDlally adopt the hays County Mitigation Plan are <br />designated as "non-participating" communities.
