<br />H II i 1 ,,,' t ; <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />1.0 <br /> <br />How This Plan Was Prepared (CRS Activity 511.1) <br /> <br />1.1 Organize to Prepare the Plan <br /> <br />On January 8, 2003, the Hays County Commissioner's Court approved procedures for <br />preparing the Hays County Mitigation Plan. During February and March of 2003, the Hays <br />County Mitigation Planning Committee was selected. Copies of the Minutes of the Committee <br />Meetings are maintained in the Hays County Emergency Manager's office. <br /> <br />On April 24, 2003, the Hays County Mitigation Planning Committee held its organizational <br />meeting. The committee is composed of representatives from each community, agencies within <br />Hays County, and the public. Community representatives include the various Hays County and <br />individual community departments dealing with planning, code enforcement, emergency <br />operations, public works and engineering, parks and recreation, and environmental services. <br />The Committee is assigned to oversee the activities of a consultant hired by Hays County to <br />prepare the Plan.
