<br />1450 per year will be accepted on a per animal cost basis. The Shelter does not <br />accommodate livestock. <br />4. Procure design and construction related services for a required addition to the Shelter <br />(the "addition") as soon as practicable in accordance with applicable State <br />procurement law and San Marcos purchasing policy. In addition, San Marcos will <br />inform the County and Kyle of the progress made regarding the addition on a regular <br />basis throughout the entire process. San Marcos will share in the funding of this <br />addition up to $668,747.16. <br />5. Hire and train three additional staff to assist in the operation of the Shelter in a <br />manner that will comfortably accommodate the additional number of dogs and cats <br />received by the Shelter as a result of the operation of this agreement. <br />6. Add two positions to the Animal Shelter Advisory Board. One of these positions is to <br />be filled by a person designated by the County; and, the second position is to be filled <br />by a person designated by Kyle. <br /> <br />B. County Aereements: <br /> <br />The County agrees to: <br /> <br />1. Designate the Precinct One County Commissioner as the County's representative <br />in all matters related to this Agreement. <br />2. Deposit into San Marcos' bank account funds required for San Marcos' <br />procurement of design and construction related services for the addition in <br />accordance with the attached budget (Attachment A) prior to San Marcos <br />beginning any work on the addition. The County agrees to fund the actual cost for <br />the design and construction of the addition up to $668,747.16 <br />3. Pay an additional $20.00 for each animal received by the Shelter during FY 2006- <br />2007 in excess of the 2400 annual limit as stipulated in Section A(2) of this <br />Agreement. This additional amount per animal will increase $2.50 per animal <br />each fiscal year beginning FY 2007-2008 until it reaches a maximum of $50.00 <br />per animal. <br />4. Pay $79,521.00 toward the first year of personnel and operation expenses of the <br />Shelter upon execution of this Agreement. In addition, the County agrees to pay, <br />subject to appropriation by the Commissioners Court, the personnel and operation <br />expenses of the Shelter in accordance with Attachment A on October 15th of <br />each year, beginning October 15, 2007, that this Agreement remains in effect. <br />5. Fully comply with the policies and guidelines of the Shelter as they now exist and <br />as they may be amended from time to time. <br /> <br />C. Kvle Aereements: <br /> <br />1. Designate the Police Chief for Kyle, as Kyle's representative in all matters related <br />to this agreement. <br />2.
