Contractor Sunnlied Software: <br />1.2.16 "Software" is defined as programs and procedures, which control the operation of the <br />System, including but not necessarily limited to, the operating system, procedures, routines, and <br />application programs. <br />1.2.17 Ensure that the application programs are simple and straight - forward, written in a manner <br />that can be readily understood by a competent operator with a minimum of training and <br />experience on the System all in accordance with City standards. The database functions are <br />written in an accepted and respected language with structured programming discipline. <br />1.2.18 Provide Siren Control and Monitor Software that: <br />a) Is a graphical user interface (GUI) application software, which provides management <br />personnel with complete control and status monitoring of the system from a computer <br />console; <br />b) Includes user - friendly features such as drop -down menus and multiscreen/ multi- <br />tasking abilities; <br />c) Includes the ability to import maps or data from ESRI supported formats and can add <br />dynamic icons representing siren locations; <br />d) Records all activity including activations, polling, and status of each siren; <br />e) Produces a display map of the City including the coverage area of each siren and the <br />area two miles adjacent to each siren location and with the siren clearly identified on <br />the display; <br />f) Permits full operation by keyboard entry in addition to mouse /cursor operation; <br />g) Operates on Microsoft Windows; <br />h) Permits the City to operate /test groups of sirens; and <br />i) Permits siren status verification and silent (growl) testing of each individual siren, <br />specified groups of sirens, or all sirens. <br />j) Ensures that the program and radios will permit the activation/deactivation, polling, <br />testing, and diagnosis of additional siren units, which may be purchased from other <br />siren manufacturers in the future. <br />k) Monitor and report siren site power failure. <br />Outdoor Siren Warning System Agreement 6/2012 <br />10 <br />
