<br />99334.252 through 252.254 (for a total rate of up to a maximum of nine percent (9%)), subject to <br />approval by the qualified voters of the City at an election to be held on November 7,2006. <br /> <br />PART 2. The City staff is authorized and directed to submit the proposed venue project <br />designation for the Conference Center Project to the State Comptroller's office for review and <br />approval under Texas Local Government Code 9334.022. <br /> <br />PART 3. If the State Comptroller's office approves the designation ofthe Conference Center <br />Project as a venue project, then, in accordance with Texas Local Government Code 9334.255, the <br />ballot language to be used at the November 7, 2006 election to propose the designation of the <br />Conference Center Project as a venue project to be financed by an increase of up to 2% in the City's <br />Hotel Occupancy Tax is proposed to read as follows: <br /> <br />Authorizing the City of San Marcos to establish, develop and construct the San Marcos <br />Conference Center Project as a venue project, and to impose a hotel occupancy tax at a <br />maximum rate of nine percent (9%) for the purpose of financing the project. <br /> <br />PART 4.
