<br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />54. <br /> <br />mn <br /> <br />Lockwood, Andrews <br />& Newnam, Inc. <br />II lEO A D....lY COMP,\NY <br /> <br />February 27, 2006 <br /> <br />-",-," <br /> <br />Mr. David Davenport <br />General Manager <br />Canyon Regional Water Authority <br />850 Lakeside Pass <br />New Braunfels, Texas 78130 <br /> <br />RE: AGREEMENT FOR INITIAL PHASE 3 ENGINEERING SERVICES RELATED TO <br />THE CARRIZO- WILCOX GROUNDW A TER FEASmILITY PROJECT <br /> <br />Dear Mr. Davenport: <br /> <br />This letter will serve as an addendum to the existing agreement between the Canyon Regional <br />Water Authority (CRW A) and Lockwood, Andrews & Newnam, Inc., (LAN) for professional <br />engineering services to be performed for you by our company. <br /> <br />The project for the acquisition and use of Canizo- Wilcox groundwater is being undertaken in <br />three phases: <br />Phase 1 - Feasibility Study (complete) <br />Interim Activities - Meetings with Potential Participants, Organizational <br />Issues, and Scoping Efforts <br />Phase 2 - Wholesale Water Use Plan / Plumbing Plan <br />Phase 3 - Acquisition of Groundwater Supply <br /> <br />Based on a meeting with the Participants on February 9, 2006, LAN Identified several "next <br />step" issues that the Participants needed to undertake in order to secure the opportunity for a <br />long-tenn Carrizo- Wilcox groundwater supply. These "next-step" items were called Initial <br />Phase 3 Tasks. The group recognized that this groundwater, in the areas targeted in the report, <br />would have limited availability because others, including SAWS and other private entities, were <br />also interested in acquiring supplies in the same area. <br /> <br />Scope of Services for Initial Phase 3 Tasks <br /> <br />. Goal: Refine the target "sweet spot" for groundwater to pursue. Analyze existing electric <br />logs within the study area.
