Present <br />Mayor Daniel Guerrero <br />Council: <br />Shane Scott <br />Jude Prather <br />John Thomaides *departed at approximately 7:50 p.m. due to illness <br />Kim Porterfield <br />Ryan Thomason <br />Wayne Becak <br />City Staff: <br />Jim Nuse, City Manager <br />Collette Jamison, Assistant City Manager <br />Roxanne Nemcik, Assistant City Attorney <br />Jamie Lee Pettijohn, City Clerk <br />Stephanie Reyes, Assistant to the City Manager <br />2. Call to Order and Announce a Quorum is Present <br />With a quorum present, the regular meeting of the San Marcos City Council was called to order <br />by Mayor Daniel Guerrero at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 31, 2012 in the Council Chambers of <br />the City of San Marcos City Hall, 630 East Hopkins, San Marcos, Texas 78666. <br />3. 5.00PM Executive Session in accordance with Section 4551.074 of the Texas <br />Government Code - Personnel Matters, Appointee Evaluations; and in accordance with <br />Section 4551 086 of the Texas Government Code - Public Power Utility Competitive <br />Matters - Discuss City participation in the Ferguson Plant Replacement Proiect. <br />MOTION: Upon a motion made by Council Member Becak and a second by Council Member <br />Scott, the City Council voted seven (7) for and none (0) opposed, to enter executive session. The <br />motion carried unanimously. <br />4. Consider adoption or direction to Staff on matters discussed in Executive Session. <br />The Council returned into regular session at approximately 6:03 p.m. Council provided direction <br />to Staff in executive session and will have salary adjustments on a future agenda. <br />
