5. Receive a Staff update regarding the Loop 82 Railroad Overpass Proiect, and provide <br />direction to Staff. <br />Linda Huff, Director of Engineering and Capital Improvements, provided the Council with the <br />presentation on the Loop 82 Railroad Overpass Project. Council liked the direction the <br />aesthetics were going. <br />5.1Hold a discussion regarding Early Voting Polling Places for the upcoming November <br />Election, and provide direction to Staff. <br />Jamie Lee Pettijohn, City Clerk, provide the Council with an update on the issues the City was <br />facing in regards to Early Voting Polling Places. The Council provided direction to see if the <br />school district would lend the City their voting equipment so that early voting could be <br />conducted at the public library. <br />6. Invocation <br />Reverend Gary Smith with Christ the Redeemer Church provided the invocation. <br />7. Pledges of Allegiance - United States and Texas <br />Council Members Prather and Scott led the pledges. <br />8. 30 Minute Citizen Comment Period <br />Bobby Natal, 220 Ellis Street, provided a written statement. <br />Dianne Wassenich, 11 Tanglewood, in favor of Riverside Park Land consideration to allow the <br />citizens a vote on an unbinding proposition. <br />Patrick Montgomery, 513 Centre Street, was a no show. <br />Jennifer Hayes, 600 Maybrook Dr, Buda Texas 78610, Member of the Hays County Animal <br />Coalition and expressed her support of the Animal Shelter's budget funding request and asked <br />the Council to reconsider. <br />Rob Roark, 1804A Hunter Road, challenged Council to take a hard look at the budget and <br />continue to do the right thing when approving the budget. <br />Suzanne Morgan, 1007 Barbara Drive, spoke in favor of the additional personnel requested by <br />the Animal Shelter for this year's budget. <br />Consent Agenda <br />9.
