<br />Regular Meeting <br /> <br />November 21, 2006 <br /> <br />Page 12 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, <br />AMENDING THE CITY'S 2006-2007 BUDGET TO PROVIDE ADDITIONAL FUNDING FORI <br />THE DOWNTOWN MASTERPLAN CIP FUND; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />Mr. Guerrero moved for approval of the Ordinance on first reading, and Mr. <br />Bose seconded the motion. Mr. O'Leary stated he is unable to move funds <br />from one department to another department. Mr. Thomaides inquired to the <br />amount being moved from Main Street. Mr. O'Leary stated the funding being <br />moved is $81,851.00. The Council then voted unanimously for approval of <br />the Ordinance on first reading. <br /> <br />Mayor Narvaiz introduced for consideration a reconsideration of a Zoning <br />Ordinance, which reads as follows: The Council did not choose to <br />reconsider the Zoning Ordinance. <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, <br />AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF THE CITY BY REZONING A 2.122 ACRE, <br />MORE OR LESS, TRACT OF LAND LOCATED IN THE 800 BLOCK OF MARL TON STREET <br />FROM "TH" TOWNHOUSE RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT TO "SF-6" SINGLE FAMILY <br />DISTRICT; INCLUDING PROCEDURAL PROVISIONS; AND PROVIDING FOR <br />PENALTIES. <br /> <br />Mayor Narvaiz introduced for approval to set Council Meeting dates. Workshop on Friday, December 15, 2006, at 11:30a.m.-1:00p.m. <br />D. Regular Meeting on Monday, January 8, 2007, at 6:00p.m. Mr. Bose moved <br />for approval of A. Special Meeting on Monday, December 11, 2006 at 5:00p.m. <br />to appoint Board and Commission Members. B. Regular Meeting on Monday, <br />December 11, 2006 at 7:00p.m. C. Workshop on Friday, December 15, 2006, at <br />11:30a.m.-1:00p.m. D. Regular Meeting on Monday, January 8, 2007, at <br />6:00p.m., and Mr. Jones, which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />Mayor Narvaiz introduced a discussion regarding City Council direction on <br />future agenda items. Mayor Narvaiz stated Staff has already noted that <br />Council wants to bringing back future discussions regarding Utility Billing <br />issue regarding the transferring of servicesj transportation issues <br />regarding street parking and the resident Ordinances; and an update on <br />holding landlords in single family areas accountable. 1) Mr. Bose stated he <br />would like to hold a discussion on the area between RR12 and Craddock. He <br />stated he would also like to consider changing the speed limit in some <br />neighborhoods. 2) Mr. Jones stated he would like to have a discussion <br />regarding the parking issues with students and to discuss designated <br />parking for students in the turn area under the Wonder World Overpass. 3) <br />Mr. Bose stated he would like to hold a discussion on Mill Street issues.
