<br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />firing of management level employees responsible for tourism promotion programs. <br /> <br />(5) Have other duties and authority as described in contracts between the city and the <br />San Marcos Area Chamber of Commerce for tourism promotion programs. <br /> <br />SECTION 2. Sections 82.291 and 82.292 of the City Code are amended as follows <br />(underlining indicates added text; o',erstrike indicates deleted text): <br /> <br />Sec. 82.291. Who may issue parking hospitality tags. <br /> <br />The following persons or organizations may issue parking hospitality tags: <br /> <br />(1) Persons required under Section 78.102(d) of this Code to collect the hotel <br />occupancy tax for the City of San Marcos; <br /> <br />(2) The San Marcos Area Chamber of Commerce; <br /> <br />(3) The San Marcos Convention and Visitor!s Bureau; <br /> <br />(4) The San Marcos Visitor!s Information Center; <br /> <br />(5) The San Marcos Hispanic Chamber of Commerce; <br /> <br />(6) The San Marcos Main Street Program; and <br /> <br />(7) The Downtown Patrol Unit of the San Marcos Police Department. <br /> <br />Sec. 82.292. Parking hospitality tag eligibility. <br /> <br />Visitors to the city are eligible to receive parking hospitality tags. This tags are <br />valid for one day only. The tags exempts from fees or penalties imposed for parking in <br />time-restricted parking spaces, as provided in Section 82.181 of this Code. Parking <br />hospitality tags are not valid on a vehicle with a Texas State University-San Marcos aD <br />SW+-permit. <br /> <br />SECTION 3. If any word, phrase, clause, sentence, or paragraph of this ordinance is held <br />to be unconstitutional or invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, the other provisions of this <br />ordinance will continue in force if they can be given effect without the invalid portion. <br /> <br />SECTION 4. All ordinances and resolution or parts of ordinances or resolutions III <br />conflict with this ordinance are repealed. <br /> <br />SECTION 5. The importance of this Ordinance creates an emergency and an imperative <br />public necessity, and the provisions of the Charter requiring that ordinances be presented at three <br />separate meetings, and that ordinances do not take effect until ten days after the date of final <br /> <br />3 <br />
