This Contract begins October 1, 2012 and ends August 31. 2017. 6. Autl_ Zority. DSHS enters into this Contract under the authority of Health and Safety Code, Chapter 1001 and DSHS and the CITY OF SAN MARCOS enter into this contract under Texas Government Code Chapter 791. 7. Amendments. Amendments to this Contract shall be in writing and signed by the Parties. 8. Termination of Contract Either DSHS or the CITY OF SAN MARCOS may terminate this Contract with written notice delivered to the other Party not later than thirty (30) days prior to the date of termination. 9. Confidentiality. If this Contract involves the exchange or sharing of confidential information, particularly personal health information, Parties agree to maintain and protect the confidential information to the extent required by law. 10. Licenses, Certifications. Permits Registrations and Approvals The CITY OF SAN MARCOS shall obtain and maintain all applicable licenses, certifications, permits, registrations, and approvals to assume the Roles and Responsibilities contained within this Contract. 11.
