Regular Meeting <br /> <br /> 15. <br />April 28, 2003 Page 11 <br /> <br />Mayor Habingreither introduced for consideration approval to change the <br />second Regular Meeting date of the City Council in May scheduled for <br />Monday, May 26, 2003 (Memorial Day Holiday). Mr. Mayhew moved to change <br />the Regular Meeting date from Monday, May 26, 2003 to Wednesday, May 28, <br />2003 at 7:00 p.m. and Mr. Mihalkanin seconded the motion, which passed <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />Mayor Habingreither introduced a discussion regarding the Clean Air Force <br />Central Texas 03 Flex Program. Mayor Habingreither stated he is concerned <br />with air quality and feels the need to protect the City proactively. He <br />stated he would like to hold a one-hour Workshop with Clean Air Force. He <br />stated he would like the Workshop to be held at 6:00 p.m. before a Regular <br />Meeting or on an off Monday. Mr. O'Leary stated he would find out from the <br />Clean Air Force when they would be available to meet with the Council. <br /> <br />Mayor Habingreither introduced the City Council's Report. 1) Ms. Narvaiz <br />stated the Main Street Advisory Board will be holding the Texas Natural <br />Western Swing Festival all day on Saturday, May 17th. 2) Ms. Narvaiz <br />stated she was a judge for the Big Miss Cinco de Mayo pageant. She stated <br />all 15 contestants impressed her. 3) Ms. Narvaiz stated she attended the <br />Youth Summit. She feels Craig Corbin and the local High School students <br />did an excellent job. She stated she felt there was good input. 4) Mayor <br />Habingreither stated he has received good comments regarding the CDBG <br />Special Meeting, which was held on Monday, April 21, 2003. 5) Mr. Mayhew <br />stated he has enjoyed serving on the Council. He thanked the Staff for <br />all their hard work, and he stated he appreciated the citizens allowing <br />him to serve. 6) Mr. Montoya inquired as to the status of the Sister <br />City. Mr. O'Leary stated Mr. McMullen has family in Monclova, Mexico and <br />has asked them to identify their expectations. He stated he has not <br />received information back from Mr. McMullen yet. <br /> <br />Mayor Habingreither introduced an Executive Session pursuant to the <br />Government Code, Section 551.071, to seek the City Attorney's advice <br />regarding pending litigation, contemplated litigation, a settlement offer, <br />or a matter involving attorney-client privilege (Burkett Transit <br />Advertising vs. City of San Marcos; MacKenzie vs. City of San Marcos, Et <br />Al); and Section 551.074 to discuss the appointment of a public officer or <br />employee (Representative to CAMPO Board). Mr. Mihalkanin moved the <br />Council adjourn into Executive Session at 9:24 p.m. and Ms. Narvaiz <br />seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />Mr. Mihalkanin moved the Council reconvene at 9:50 p.m. and Ms. Narvaiz <br />seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />The meeting adjourned at 9:50 p.m. on motion made by Mr. Mihalkanin and <br />seconded by Mr. Taylor. <br /> <br /> <br />
