to the City for review and approval by the City Council, any changes or additions to the <br />proposed scope of general promotional and tourist advertising for the City of San <br />Marcos and solicitation and operating programs to attract visitors, minority tourists and <br />conventions to the City and a proposed budget for the fiscal year. <br />III. OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE OF TOURIST <br />INFORMATION CENTER <br />A. Facility Description. The Tourist Information Center (the "Tourist <br />Center ") is owned by the City and is located at 617 IH -35 North in San Marcos, Texas. <br />B. Operation of Center. The Chamber agrees to use CVB Funds for the <br />operation and maintenance of the Tourist Center in accordance with the following: <br />1. The Chamber will endeavor to provide paid and volunteer staffing so <br />that the Tourist Center is open to the public during the following times: <br />Monday- Saturday 9:00a.m. to 5:00p.m. <br />Sunday 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. <br />During these times, the staff will provide assistance to visitors, respond to <br />telephone inquiries, distribute tourism materials and information, maintain records, <br />stock brochure racks and bins, and performs other services and tasks as directed by <br />the Chamber. <br />2. The Chamber shall provide and maintain suitable equipment and <br />materials for effective operation of the Tourist Center, including desks, counters, <br />chairs, brochure racks and bins, computer, copier and telephone equipment, and office <br />supplies. <br />3. The Chamber shall provide routine maintenance of the Tourist <br />Center, including custodial services and minor repairs. If a need arises for <br />maintenance of a non- routine nature (costing $1,000.00 or more during each fiscal <br />year), the Chamber will submit the request to the City, and the City will evaluate <br />4 <br />
