1.6.2 Determine and report gradation, asphalt content and stability value of each bag sample. I The stability value reported for each of the bag samples shall be the average of three (3) tests per bag. 1.6.3 Determine and report pavement thickness and density from 6-inch cores from each day's placement. 1.7 TASK 6 - STEELINONDESTRUCTIVE TESTING AND EVALUATION The Consultant will: 1.7.1 Inspect structural steel during erection on a periodic basis. 1.7.2 Visually inspect representative welds for general accordance with A WS D1.1. 1.7.3 Inspect high strength bolted connections in accordance with AISC specification. 1.7.4 Inspect ultrasonic testing of full penetration welds per technical plans and specifications. 1.7.5 Inspect high-strength bolts, nuts and washers periodically to confirm that materials being used conform to specification. 1.7.6 Inspect high-strength bolting as follows periodically for bearing-type connections, and Continuously for slip crucial connections. I 1.7.7 Provide material verification of structural steel, identify markings to conform to ASTM standards as specified in the construction specifications and provide manufacturer's certified mill test reports. 1.7.8 Provide material verification of weld filler materials, identify markings periodically to conform to A WS specifications in the construction specifications and provide a manufacturer's certificate of compliance. 1.7.9 Inspect welding of structural steel: a) complete and partial penetration groove welds continuously; b) multi-pass fillet welds continuously; c) fillet welds >5/16" continuously; d) single pass fillet welds >5/16" periodically; and e) floor and deck welds periodically. 1.7.10 Inspect steel frame joint details for C(\lT!rli~.t't"'p with construction specifications periodically: PSI Conference Center Testing.doc I 6
