<br />d) welding of reinforcing bars (continuous inspection required); and <br />e) protection of masonry during cold weather (temperature below 40 degrees) or hot <br />weather (temperature above 90 degrees). <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />1.9.6 Prior to grouting, periodically verify the following to ensure compliance of the following: <br /> <br />a) grout space is clean; <br />b) placement of reinforcement connectors is correct; <br />c) proportions of site-prepared grout are adequate; and <br />d) construction of mortar joints is correct. <br /> <br />1.9.7 Inspect grout placement continuously to ensure compliance with the codes enumerated in <br />the technical specifications of the construction documents. <br /> <br />1.9.8 Inspect preparation of required grout specimens, mortar specImens and/or pnsms <br />continuously. <br /> <br />1.10 ADDITIONAL SERVICES/CHANGE IN SERVICES <br /> <br />1.10.1 The City may direct the Consultant to perform services outside of the scope of the Basic <br />Services described in Sections 1.1 through 1.9 above. The Consultant will submit a written <br />estimate of fees to the City and obtain the City's authorization before initiating any additional I <br />servIces. <br /> <br />1.10.2 Each material change (deletion or addition) in the services to be provided by Consultant <br />must be authorized by the City on the Authorization of Change in Services form attached to this <br />Agreement as Attachment A. Compensation for additional services will be in addition to that <br />specified for Basic Services in accordance with Section 13.2 of this Agreement. The approval of <br />the City's governing body is necessary for all additional services the compensation for which <br />exceeds $25,000. <br /> <br />ARTICLE 2 <br />THE CITY'S RESPONSIBILITIES <br /> <br />The City will: <br /> <br />2.1 Provide full information to the Consultant regarding the City's requirements for the <br />Consultant's services under this Agreement. The City will furnish the Consultant with copies of <br />official City design standards and construction standards, and other data and information in the <br />City's possession needed by the Consultant at the Consultant's request. <br /> <br />2.2 Designate Laurie Anderson, Director of Environment and Engineering as the City's <br />Project Manager and authorized reprf'''f'ntativc;' to act on the City's behalf with respect to this <br />Agreement.
