The <br />motion carried. <br />22.Receive a Staff update regarding activities at the San Marcos Municipal Airport, and <br />provide direction to Staff. <br />MOTION: Upon a motion made by Council Member Porterfield and a second by Council <br />Member Becak, the City Council voted six (6) for, none (0) opposed, and one (1) absent, Mayor <br />Guerrero, to postpone the San Marcos Municipal Airport Update until the October 16, 2012 <br />regular meeting. The motion carried. <br />23.Receive a Staff update on the status of Solid Waste Initiatives, including but not limited <br />to Green Waste, and provide direction to Staff. <br />Laurie Moyer, Managing Director of Transit and Solid Waste, provided a presentation regarding <br />the status of solid waste initiatives and green waste. Following Mrs. Moyer's presentation the <br />Council provided consensus that they would like to see Staff facilitate a monthly drop off event <br />on the second Saturday of the month from 8 a.m. until 1 p.m. <br />24.Ouestion and Answer Session with Press and Public <br />25.Adiournment <br />MOTION: Upon a motion made by Mayor Guerrero and a second by Council Member Becak, <br />the City Council voted seven (7) for and none (0) opposed, to adjourn the regular meeting of the <br />San Marcos City Council at <br />8:20 p.m. on October 1, 2012.
