The Outside Entity will prepare and submit the required environmental <br /> documentation to the State for review and approval prior to submitting the <br /> engineering plans. This documentation shall be coordinated through the District's <br /> Environmental Section. The engineering plans shall be submitted to the State for <br /> review and approval, three months prior to the scheduled bid opening date. <br /> Should the State determine that revisions are required to the environmental <br /> documentation or engineering plans, the Outside Entity shall be responsible for the <br /> reVISIOns. The State will not open bids for the construction contract until the <br /> environmental documentation and engineering plans have been approved by the <br /> Stateo <br /> 3. Construction Responsibilities <br /> If the project is approved, the State shall advertise for construction bids, issue bid <br /> proposals, receive and tabulate bids and award a contract for construction of the Project in <br /> accordance with all applicable procedures and laws. Actual construction shall be <br /> performed by contract awarded by the competitive bidding process. <br /> 4. Maintenance Responsibilities <br /> Upon completion of the Project, the State will assume responsibility for the maintenance <br /> of the completed facilities within its jurisdiction. <br /> Page 8 of 9 <br />
