EXHIBIT A
G. Prepare conceptual plan view drawings of the pipeline alignments. and identify
anticipated easement requirements for Ahernative No.2.
H. Prepare a Preliminary Design Report defining the proposed service areas, their
wastewater contributions, service periods. gravity line sizes based upon the minimum
and maximum flow rates for the service periods, preliminary plan view drawings of the
pipeline alignments, and estimates of probable construction cost for each of the
alternatives.
I. Submit one copy of the draft report to the City for review and comment.
J. Meet with the City to discuss the report and to obtain their comments.
K. Incorporate the City's comments into the report and submit four (4) fmal copies to the
City.
2. Final Design Phase (Preliminary Scope)
Upon receipt of written authorization from the City to proceed with the Final Design Phase for
the selected preliminary design alternative, TC&B will prepare a revised scope and fee proposal
for Final Design Phase services. It is anticipated that services will include on-site design
surveys and geotechnical investigations, and preparation of contract documents, final plans, and
technical specifications for the project(s). Anticipated services include the following:
A. Attend a project kick-off meeting, periodic progress meetings, and coordinate the
geotechnical investigation performed under subcontract.
B. Survey the future lift station site and proposed aJignment of the off-site wastewater
lines. It is anticipated that easements will be necessary to construct off-site wastewater
lines outside the tH. 35 right-of-way. TC&B will prepare easement descriptions for
facilities included in these Scope of Services. Survey data will be tied to state plane
coordinates.
C. Engage the services of a Geotechnical Engineer to perform soil borings and to provide
recommendations to guide the design and construction of the wastewater lines.
D. Perform the fmal design for the wastewater lines, including the following:
(1) Road crossing/repair details
(2) Interconnect details
(3) Prepare detailed plan and profile drawings for all proposed wastewater lines 6
inches and larger (including wastewater force mains). detailing size, depth,
routing, and construction details. Plan and profile drawings to be at minimum
scales of 1" =50' vertical.
E. Coordinate proposed forcemain design with the future lift station which is to be
designed by others.
